The legendary Palm Beach Ta-Boo on the famous Worth Ave (the Rodeo Drive of Palm Beach) first opened in 1941. Having undergone multiple changes of ownership over the last 83 years its understated elegance and influential gatherings drew in the likes of John F. Kennedy, Frank Sinatra, the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, Rod Stewart and many other prominent celebrities.
In 2023, Ta-boo closed for various and truly unknown reasons in detail. The bar and restaurant had been a popular local hot spot and drawing celebrities visiting Palm Beach consistently and very well loved by our locals. A new owner purchased the building in 2019, had a vision including a major renovation, and the parties did not renew a lease. After nearly a year closed and with many locals still grieving the loss of such an iconic place it was recently discovered that Thomas Keller, world-renowned chef and restaurateur behind Napa's French Laundry is returning to his Palm Beach roots to revive Ta-boo.
The fantastic news now is that the new owner (Chef Thomas Keller) will be keeping the name Ta-Boo to carry on some tradition. The former owner “couldn’t be happier” stating so in local news. Cheers to the best news we have heard in a very long time, we are so excited for the grand re-opening!
